Fosters: Lisa and Troy write:

“ What is there to say about Stella? She was dumped out of a truck in the rain at a
warehouse. A good Samaritan saw it happen and took her home. They then reached out to
MRF and held her until I could pick her up two days later. She greeted me as if I was a long-
lost friend tail wagging and eager to meet me. To describe Stella, she is 90 lbs. of
eagerness and love. It’s possible that she is a Pocket Mastiff, but I will say she is much
smaller than most mastiffs, but her heart is as large if not larger than any dog. She has to
be part of any affection being given out at any time. And she is not just a taker she is always
by someone’s side trying to give some of the affection back. She will squirm and squeeze to
any spot between people, other dogs or pillows to get next to someone. She will follow you
everywhere and lay down wherever you are. She is house broken; she goes to the back
door when she wants out doesn’t bark or anything, but she will pace back and forth to from
and around the door until you notice. She is dog friendly and as far as cats?? The outside
cat we have that hangs around the house Stella was keen to check out, first encounter
Stella cautiously approached him sticking her nose out to sniff and POP right on her nose
and that was it, game on. Now she shows way too much interest in the cat with a window
between them. She has never shown any type of aggression to any person. She does enjoy
treats and food, but she is not food driven. She walks fairly well on a leash she pulls a little
starting out but settles down and then does well. She has been chipped, brought up to date
on her shots and is in good health. Stella will make an outstanding dog for almost anyone
with maybe the exception of a cat owner.”

Stella is heartworm positive and we are treating her with the slowkill treatment. She is
about 3 years old and we are talking with the vet as to when to spay her or is she already.
Because she was dumped in the street, we have no records only the veterinary that MRF is
doing. Stella has a wonderful personality and everyone she meets she loves and she loves
them JUST NOT CATS!
